Hertz president’s circle is a top-tier elite status in the company’s Gold Plus Rewards program that provides some special perks like one car-class upgrade at participating locations, reserved parking stalls, and 50% bonus on points earned. This is a great benefit to have, especially since travel is picking up and you want to make sure that you get a nice vehicle when renting from Hertz.
What is Hertz gold board?
Deals Points describes Hertz President Circle as a status above Hertz Five Star but below Hertz’s super-elite invite-only Platinum status. You can earn Hertz President Circle status by spending $4,000 or completing 20 rentals per year, though those requirements were temporarily lowered in the face of the pandemic. Getting the Capital One Venture X card is currently the easiest way to achieve Hertz President Circle status. The Venture X has a $395 annual fee but you easily make up for it with the $300 travel credit, primary rental car insurance, free access to 1,300+ airport lounges, 10,000 miles every account anniversary, and 10x miles on hotels and rental cars books through the Capital One Travel portal.
If you have Hertz President Circle, when you rent a vehicle at any of the Ultimate Choice airport locations, you will skip the regular counter and head straight to the “upsell area.” This is where they parade their nicer vehicles for an additional fee, such as Infinitis or Mercedes Benz SUVs. You can also use the Hertz eReturn service, which allows you to drive off the lot without needing to return to the counter.
